April 5, 2018 – Defense Verdict for Ketia Wick.
Congratulations to Ketia Wick and the rest of the JGKMW team for a defense verdict on behalf of an emergency room physician. The case alleged medical negligence and wrongful death for a failure to diagnose a pulmonary embolism.
March 1, 2018 – JGKMW welcomes Aida Babametovic to our firm.
Aida Babahmetovic joins JGKMW as an associate in the Seattle Office. Aida brings her skills and experience to the Pacific Northwest from Kentucky where she worked for a national healthcare system as a compliance manager. Aida has combined experience in civil litigation and corporate compliance. Prior to joining the corporate sector, Aida independently represented multi-national corporations and employers in labor and employment matters as well as insurance defense claims.
January 1, 2018 – Michael McDermott promotion to Partner.
Michael McDermott was promoted to Partner effective January 1, 2018. He has been with JGKMW since 2011 and is an experienced litigator. His practice focuses on the defense of health care providers in medical malpractice cases and assisting physicians in Department of Health regulatory matters. Congratulations Michael!

JGKMW Partner Rando Wick was inducted as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), becoming only the 20th attorney from Washington State to receive this honor. ABOTA is a prestigious invitation-only society for trial lawyers. Congratulations Rando!
