Hyejin defends healthcare professionals in medical malpractice litigation and healthcare licensing matters as a civil litigator. She came to the legal profession after a career in academic art history to make a positive impact on her clients’ lives. She became interested in medical malpractice defense when her partner, a former surgeon, was named as a co-defendant in a medical malpractice lawsuit. Watching him experience the stress of the lawsuit motivated her to apply her empathy and legal skills to helping healthcare professionals navigate the challenges of the legal process and protect their careers.
Hyejin earned her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Washington. When she was a law student, she externed for Judge J. Michael Díaz in the Washington Court of Appeals, Division I. She also served as the Associate Editor-in-Chief of Washington Law Review and the Co-President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association.
Outside the office, Hyejin enjoys going on outdoor adventures with her partner and their dog, cooking Korean food for family and friends, and visiting art museums and cultural sites around the world.
